Good news for jailbreak fans, the pwn dfu tool iReb is now available for Mac OS X.
To install a custom or unsigned firmware on your iDevice you will need to put it in PWN DFU mode other wise you might get an iTunes error.
The best tool to do this is iReb, but has previously only been available for Windows. However developer iH8Sn0w has now made a version for Mac OS X. It will run on Mac OS X 10.4 upwards and covers OS 3 to iOS 6.
The Windows version has a pretty GUI and instructions on how to enter DFU mode, where as the Mac version is plain, runs in a terminal window, and doesn’t offer instruction, but it works just as well. Download it here.
DFU Instructions
As you will see above, once your iDevice is connected iReb will wait for DFU mode before it starts to pwn. To enter DFU, connect your iDevice and turn it off.
Then hold the power button for 3 seconds, as soon as you see the Apple logo hold the home button (whilst still holding the power button).
Count 10 seconds and then let go off the power button. Keep holding the home button until iTunes and iReb kick in to life which is usually about 20 seconds. If it doesn’t, then you might need to restart the whole process.
If all has gone well you are ready to install custom firmware such as whited00r or a tweaked ipsw made using sn0wbreeze, by holding ALT and clicking on the ‘Restore iPhone’ in iTunes and selecting your ipsw.

iH8sn0w successfully demonstrated iOS 10 jailbreak using the first beta version of it. He used the iPhone 5C to complete it. iH8sn0w hinted to other jailbreak developers the possibility of iOS 10 jailbreak with this demonstration. Every time jailbreak tool’s developers are having trouble finding a method to release JB tool, iH8sn0w helps them directly or indirectly. Here is an example.
Ireb For Ios Mac Version
When Apple killed iOS 9 and iOS 8.1 jailbreak, he was directly to find the JB method. For the first time, Apple introduced Rootless Jailbreak to prevent the jailbreak as a security update from iOS 9 version. At that point, all the jailbreak tool developers failed to find a method, except the iH8sn0w. He demonstrated it on 10th September 2015 & released a video too. Then Pangu and TaiG got his method to find their own jailbreak tool. Pangu released iOS 9 Jailbreak. TaiG released iOS 8.1.1 Jailbreak. So, because of the iH8sn0w, we had these two jailbreaks.

Posixspwn is the most successful jailbreak tool of the iH8sn0w. It works to jailbreak iOS 6.1.6 to iOS 6.1.3 versions as untethered. The latest version is 1.0.8, and it is working on both Windows and Mac operating systems. But, it has not had any P0sixspwn tool update recently.
Sn0wbreeze
Sn0wbreeze was another successful jailbreak tool released by iH8sn0w. It supports jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 3.1.3 versions as untethered. 2.9.14 was the last version and beyond iOS 6.1.3 release, iH8sn0w failed to update.

iFaith
iFaith is not a jailbreak tool, and it is an open source. It is allowed for you to downgrade the current iOS version to the older iOS version. When you want to Downgrade to the previous version, you need SHSH blobs and iFaith allows you save SHSH blobs. iFaith tool is only working within the Windows operating system. iREB
iREB is released for iOS 3.x.x to iOS 6.1.2 iTunes errors and custom firmware. The tool supports the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS(S), iPhone 4, iPod Touch 1G, 2G, 3G and 4, iPad, Apple TV 2. Using this tool, you can bypass iTunes errors while restoring or upgrading by entering the DFU mode.
